M.Tech. in Atmospheric Physics Programme: Admissions (2003)
Eligibility
Students with M. Sc. in any one of the following subjects (Students in
final year whose results are expected by July 2003 are also eligible):
Physics
Mathematics
Statics
Meteorology
Geophysics with Meteorology
Computer Science
Physics as one subject at B. Sc. is compulsory.
Minimum 50% Marks in M.Sc.
Number of Admissions
This programme admits 10 students selectee through an
entrance test. At the time of admission the candidates selected through the
entrance test will have to fill in separately an application form (which is
a priced publication) as presceibed by the University of Pune.
Place and date of entrance test
The centres for entrance examination are Ahmednagar, Kilkata, Bangalore,
Delhi, Kolhapur, Mumbai, Nagpur, Nasik, Pune. (In case a centre is not
granted, the candidate will have to accept the next centre alloted to him).
The test shall be held between 2pm and 5pm on Wednesday 4th June 2003.
Please note that no TA and DA will be paid to the candidate for this
purpose.
How to apply
Application on plain paper should be sent in duplicate in the
following proforma to The coordinator (Atmospheric Physics), Department of
Physics, University of Pune, Pune 411007 along with a self addressed stamped
envelope (Rs. 5/- stamp) and a Demand Draft (of Rs 150/- for SC, ST and DTNT
students who are domicile of Maharashtra state, and Rs. 300/- for all
others) (including open and OBC candidates of Maharashtra state) drawn in
favour of The Registrar, University of Pune, payable at Pune, so as to reach
on or before 15th May, 2003.

Reservations
Reservations applicable only for students who are domiciles of
Maharashtra State, and will be followed as per Govt. of Maharashtra rules.
Applications for the entrance test should be accompanied by a copy of the
attested caste certificate issued by the competent authority.
